Kupio ("we", "us") is a family shopping-list app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account information — when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email to create your account.
• Your content — the shopping lists, items and shopping history you create, shared within your family group.
• Receipt scans — photos of receipts you choose to scan.
• Device token — a push-notification token, so we can notify your family.
• Diagnostics — anonymous analytics and crash reports to improve the app.

Receipts are not stored When you scan a receipt, the photo is sent to our AI provider only to extract the items and prices, and is deleted immediately after processing. We do not keep receipt images — only the extracted text data (items, prices, totals) is saved.

How we use your data To provide the shared family shopping list, spending analytics and notifications; to operate, secure and improve the app; and to process your Premium subscription (handled by Apple — we do not receive card details).

Who processes your data

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, push messaging.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI parsing of receipt images (images are not retained).
• Apple — App Store purchases and subscription billing. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Your content is shared only with members of your own family group.

Data retention & deletion We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all data anytime in Profile → Delete account.

Security Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, restricted to your family group.

Children Kupio is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

International transfers Your data may be processed on servers outside your country (e.g., the United States) by the processors above.

Changes We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date.
